Adeng Andrew Malual Leek

Protecting civilians and preventing violence in conflict-affected areas is my passion and mission as a Civic Engagement Program Manager at Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP).

"Don’t give up, you will surely make it!"

About Me

Hi, I’m Adeng Leek. I lead the planning, implementation, and administration of a project that covers six countries and has a budget of over $2 million.

I coordinate with donors, partners, and stakeholders, provide technical advice on protection strategies, and collect and analyze data on the dynamics and needs of the communities we serve.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of Essex and over eight years of experience in human rights advocacy, gender equality, and transitional justice.

I have worked for the African Union Commission, South Sudan Women’s Empowerment Network (SSWEN), and various civil society initiatives.

Some of my achievements include training over 80 women parliamentarians on constitutional and legislative processes, supporting the establishment of the Commission for Truth, Healing and Reconciliation, and organizing national dialogues on key gender policies and legal frameworks.

I have also received multiple awards and recognition for my contributions to peace and development, such as the Most Influential People of African Descent under 35 in 2021.
